Sources (my kids) say that this trend [oversize glasses] used to be considered hipster, but from the little I understand about hipsters, they have already abandoned this practice if they think everyone else is doing it. This reminds me of my favorite Dr. Seuss story about the Sneetches, who all want stars on their bellies, until they don’t.

Fun fact- Chinese people love glasses! There’s a whole glasses district just by the Jinsong subway stop in Beijing that has about 2 blocks of different boutiques. Re: ‘hipster glasses’, girls love them so much they buy them without lenses.
