We’re thrilled to present a new series on the Muck Rack Blog - A Day In the Life. We’re asking journalists around the web to share all the times they use Twitter, how they spend their days, and how Muck Rack fits into their time. Follow along as we learn from some of the best in the business.
First up, we heard from Anthony De Rosa, Reuters’ social media editor and columnist on how his average days pan out.
Alarm usually rings at 7:30 or 8:00 a.m.
I get push alerts from several apps: Breaking News, Bloomberg, which show up when I check my iPhone, then I go check my Twitter feed, all before getting out of bed.
I roll out of bed and into Twitter. Then I usually eat maple and brown sugar instant Quaker oats and coffee/OJ. I’ll get a few tweets out and if there’s something big, I won’t go directly into the office, but rather I’ll start live blogging from home instead.
I make it into the office around 9:30 or 10 and use Instapaper on the my commute (it’s only 2 stops south from the Columbus Circle 1 train).
i started a new feature in Muck Rack where i ask journalists how their days pan out and Anthony De Rosa was kind enough to be my first victim. enjoy what this very impressive man has to share about his workday.
