now that i have to make the death transfer from the E to the 6 at 53rd St., i feel exactly this amount of rage every morning.
oh and yeah, i AM using a DC blog to talk about NYC problem. what of it?!
My lunch was sliders on mini cinnamon donuts. It was amazing.
dear Art took me to lunch at Shopsin’s in Essex Market yesterday. although it was the brunching hour, there were no mimosas involved so we’ll just call it lunch. the place had absolutely the most overwhelming menu ever but once i closed my eyes and pointed to my first selection, the food was truly great. above is what Art got to eat (i stole a bite from him; it was a very incredible). i had the Chilaquiles at heat level 5; probably should have low-balled that cause it got a little painful there at the end.
i will most certainly be going back so let me know if you have lunch open and want to meet downtown - they close at 2:00 p.m.

High Highs - Open Season
These guys played one of the most exhilarating sets of music I was tuned in for at SXSW. I sat right up front and was mesmerized. The Aussie-to-Brooklyn group crafts songs with such strength - full bodied, luscious lipped makeout songs fit to late evening red wine and darkly lit room time.
