The Real McCoy - “Another Night”
can we talk about how much i love this song? i can’t help it. i remember it playing on the beach at the Black Sea when i was but a wee young’un. it’s embedded in my skull and i will love it forever
ok friends, need your help. what are great songs to hear at weddings that everyone will like but will also keep fans of proper music from ripping off their ears? your suggestions are most appreciated.
aaaand go!
p.s. THANKS GUYS! the suggestions were great. and no, i’m not getting married. just a bridesmaid
OK, OK, I just mentioned the glow-in-the-dark drumsticks, so here they are. After general amazingness and sexiness, giant hair, a ton of makeup, and a fur coat. Incredible. (Also, this is her tearing it up in Oakland just last year.)
I guess from here on out it’s just Robert Graves and Sheila E. here. Go big hair or go home.
i always love Sunday dinners with Eli and Brittany. not only for the tasty food and excellent company, but also because i always learn something completely new. last night, it was “Hard Ticket to Hawaii” and this Sheila E song. enjoy “Glamorous Life”
now i do. and i don’t like it/him (?)
Mitchmatic - “Why Don’t You Know?”
this week’s All Songs Considered was seriously good. the most fun to come out of it is this terrifically light-hearted little track. enjoy!

And as part of my New Music By Someone Better Than LDR Every Time I Mention Her In A Tumblr Post Pledge, here’s “Thank You,” the Sade-ish new single from Estelle. Listen to that voice! So much shading!
terrific idea! terrific-er song!
George Michael - “Freedom”
to start with, i’m having the worst day. then, while opening a bunch of tabs for article research, all of the sudden this started playing!
as Babycakes so wisely put it, “that’s why God sent you George Michael. he’s here, he’s queer, get used to it…and get to church.”
SNL’s (dude comedian guy) dances to Robyn’s “Call Your Girlfriend”
i love this a little too much. here are some reasons why:
i have probably (definitely) once or twice (or every boozy night in) been the idiot in the ridiculous outfit (headscarf, leopard tights for me) dancing to some music video (spice girls) or another (gaga) at 4:00 a.m. (1997- 2011).
thanks to caroline of hendrix (as in jimi) for bringing this to my attention. also, go follow her, ok please? she posts lovely stuff
